I use forceps to pierce tongues, lips, and earlobes only. I find them to be very good. They help me to control the tissues that would otherwise be slippery or squishy. I mostly pierce freehand. I'm curious to know your ideas as to why forceps are so bad in this particular instance. This gentleman healed his 6g piercings in 4 weeks.F.Y.I. i put very little tension on the forceps with a tiny rubberband.

Glass plugs are the best to heal with! But forceps are bad
