Nicole asked: I changed my nose stud about 2 months ago to something smaller-gauged, and so my nostril piercing has shrunk in size. I want to change it back to my previous stud, but I am having doubts because the stud is larger than the hole. I thought about forcing it back in, but what are the cons to doing this, and does anybody know a better way for me to get the larger sized stud back in? Any suggestions on how to make my piercing larger in gauge too would help, thanks!

expertvillage asked:
Piercing a nose requires cleaning the area to be pierced with surgical soap, coating the sterilized needle with a surgical lubricant, piercing the nostril in a single motion and inserting sterilized jewelry into the new hole. Pierce a nose only with the proper licensing and certification with tips from a licensed piercer in this free video on body modification. Len asked: So I got my nostril pierced a while back, and then the gem fell out of it, so I called my piercer to ask what gauge it was so I could replace it. Turns out, she doesn’t know (doesn’t she sound competent?). Is there any way to figure out what gauge my nose piercing is?

jenny asked: Hi
I just got my nose pierced (nostril, not septum) about a week ago and have been applying saline solution and coconut oil to the piercing to clean and heal it. Is this a good method of cleaning or should I be using something else?
Thanks
Alcohol and hydrogen peroxide both ruin new skin that is being created to heal the wound, so that’s not the best way to go.

?Hapagirl? ? give ? a chance! asked: I’m thinking about getting my nose pierced, as a tribute to my Indian heritage. The problem is that I’m only part Indian so people will think it is a punk thing! Several people said that having a nose piercing would limit my job choices because people wouldn’t want to hire me. Is that true? If so which jobs would i not be able to be hired to?
I mean that they would think it is punk because I am fair skinned.
Also what is your experience or opinion of nose piercings? (nostril, not septum)
