Do not let anyone else touch, kiss, or lick the body piercing. Always wash your hands prior to touching your new piercing. Body Piercings may take several months to a year to completely heal. Changing or removing jewelry should be avoided during this time. Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bactine, or liquid soap as this may cause damage to healthy cells and cause scar tissue. Do not use ointments as this will harbor and promote the growth of bacteria. Aboid pools & hot tubs during the healing process. Reduce the intake of alcohol, drugs, caffine, and asprin during initial healing period. Avoid smoking, chewing tobacco, and spicy foods for the oral piercings. With all piercings you will notice a fairly liquid type yellowing substance, this is normal & part of your healing process. When this foram around your piercing use a warm compress to remove substance. Never pick with fingernails.
