Can any one help me with my nose piercing problem?

I am a 30 year old married Indian woman. I want to get my nose pierced and want to wear diamonds. Well the problem is which side of the nostril should I get pierced.
Well my mother-in-law tells me to pierce the left nostril while my friends are of the opinion that piercing the right nostril is more in fashion.

Please help me find a solution Left or Right. What would I look like if I pierce both the nostrils and wear two small diamond studs.
