Sacred rites, bizarre to outsiders, depict the belief that true believers will be cleansed by vegetarian food and “rituals of the flesh” over a nine day event with public parades and dramatic displays.

What to do to make a new tongue piercing feel better?

Friday, November 27th, 2009
Alyssa R asked:

I got my tongue pierced yesterday and I have work in a couple hours. I’m a waitress, so I’ll have to do a lot of talking.

What kind of stuff can I do to make the piercing feel better? It feels OK now, but the more I talk, it’ll start to feel a little sore and get swollen and make it hard to talk.

I plan on getting some salt water and ice chips during work to make it feel better, I also have Ibuprofen. Any other tips?
